Kenyan Lawyer PLO Lumumba Deported from Zambia

Zambian Immigration authorities have on Saturday deported Kenyan lawyer Professor P.L.O
Lumumba.

Lumumba was kicked out of Zambia by immigration officials shortly after landing at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka on Saturday afternoon.

Zambiaan government spokesperson Dora Siliya said the pan-Africanist was thrown out of the South-Central African nation because he posed a security threat.

“Govt through immigration dept has denied entry into Zambia of Prof. Patrick Lumumba, a Kenyan national due to security considerations. Immigration is a security wing working with agencies within and beyond Zambia,” stated Ms Siliya in a statement on Twitter.

The lawyer was slated to give a public lecture on China-Africa relations at Eden University on Saturday night. His talk was to be based on the theme "Africa in the age of China influence and global geo-dynamics.”

About a week ago, there were reports that China was set to take over Kenneth Kaunda International Airport after Zambia defaulted on a loan running to millions of dollars. However, the Zambian government refuted the claims as false.

“Government’s position is that all stories relating to the sale or takeover of public assets such as
ZNBC, KKIA and ZESCO by China are false. ZNBC digital migration and KKIA projects are not even
complete yet. How then can one refer to a loan default in view of grace periods?” the government
spokeswoman said.

Professor P.L.O Lumumba is harmless Zambians. Get it. All you needed is to get an Oxford Dictionary to check the meaning of his big words.
