Raila Hosts Former US Ambassador Mark Bellamy

The National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential flag bearer, Raila Odinga hosted the former United States Ambassador to Kenya, Mark Bellamy and his colleague Lauren Ploch Blanchard, at his home in Karen Nairobi.

Bellamy is in Kenya on a fact finding mission on upcoming August 8 general election, to monitor and assess Kenya’s preparedness on the election.

The former Ambassador and his group are expected to meet a cross section of civil society, government and opposition leaders to chart way forward and the technicalities of the upcoming polls.

Bellamy served as the United States ambassador to Kenya between 2003 and 2006 and will be remembered for directing US security programs in the Horn of Africa as well as supervising US government’s largest foreign HIV/AIDS program and let multinational efforts to combat corruption and promote good governance in Kenya.
