A welcome reception in honor of the visiting Kenya Rugby Sevens team and fans attending the USA Sevens tournament in Las Vegas will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016. The welcome reception, organized by Kenyans Connect and WATU & Co in collaboration with the Embassy of Kenya in Washington, DC, will be held at Beer Park Las Vegas at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Doors open at 7pm.
This exclusive hosted-event will be an appreciation for the team, their efforts and successes, and an opportunity for fans and guests to meet and mingle. The national anthem will be sung and a prayer shared for the team to kick off the festivities and honor of the team. The guest of honor will be His Excellency Ambassador Robinson Njeru Githae, Embassy of the Republic of Kenya with the semi-private networking affair also being attended by sponsors and other invited guests. Sponsors include First Choice Global, Coldwell Banker Kenya, Alphabet Soup, Double Diamond Resorts and media sponsors Kenya Rugby 24/7.

The Kenyan Rugby Sevens rugby team is one of the 16 national teams competing in the HSBC Sevens World Series in Las Vegas and being broadcasted live on NBC Sports. With Rugby Sevens making its debut in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics, the HSBC Sevens World Series has become one of the most highly anticipated sporting events in the world.
