Former US Resident Secures Nomination for Kiambu Senate Seat
Teresia Wairimu Kairu, a former resident of Atlanta, Georgia who recently resettled back in Kenya and joined politics, has been nominated for the Kiambu Senate seat.

She was recently in the news after she was unable to register to vote owing to her ID number having already been used by someone else (under a different name) to register. After a long struggle with the IEBC she was finally able to successfully register to vote (READ: Former US Resident Risks Missing Out on Kiambu Senate Race Due to Voter Registration Errors)
