US Soldier Originally From Kenyan Killed in NC

Captain Kwame Waikenda

Morehead, NC - Captain Kwame Waikenda was shot and killed in his apartment in Morehead, North Carolina. Kwame had just returned from his second tour of Iraq and he was gearing up for a tour of Afghanistan. Everyone that knows Kwame can attest to his brilliance, very big heart and composed nature. Kwame, you will be missed and loved by everyone that you left in this world. There will be an Irish wake in NC in Captain Kwame's memory. 

On the 16th of April, the USMC will be holding a memorial for Kwame Waikenda at the Cherry Point Base chapel, NC. A week later, a similar memorial will be held in Kenya and he should be burried on the 24th in Nairobi...details to follow.
