Young Kenyan Man Dies Suddenly in Boston

Winthrop, MA - The Kenyan community in Boston is reeling from a sudden death of a young man who was set to be a new dad this June.

Jimmy Kimunya died suddenly in his apartment in Winthrop Mass., on Thursday morning, barely a month after he underwent surgery occasioned by late stage colon cancer. He was 36 years old.

Jimmy leaves behind a 7 month pregnant fiancée, Jill Laforest, who is expecting their first daughter, already named Zahra Waithira (Ciira) Kimunya, sometimes in June.

Stunned friends and family are meeting at the late Jimmy’s apartment on 400 Governors Park, Apt 34, in Winthrop, Mass. , for prayers and urgent fundraising efforts to transport the body back to Kenya as soon as practically possible according to the wishes of his distraught parents.
