I am deeply saddened and shocked by the loss of Eric and we as a community need to band together not just in times like these, but for always. The current economic crisis in the US and around the world has affected so many of our people and there are thousands suffering in silence. What do we do instead of reaching out to help? We are the first to pass on the bad news "oh have you heard? she lost his job or he is now divorced, or she was in jail or ICE agents were at her door".
Before you pick up the phone to be quoted on gossip and slander, you may want to pick up the phone and speak to the person that you are trying to sink lower than they already are! find out "hey, my brother/or my sister" - I heard that something bad happened to you - Can I help? Most people may just act like they are fine - BUT we must follow up. Friends or people who claim to be friends should HOLD UP those that are down and CONTINUE to offer that support. Giving up should never be an option. There is nothing like "a hopeless case"!
I am angry and upset by Eric's death because he was so full of life and his death doesn't speak to who he was as a person. My heart aches for his family and I continue to life them in prayer. At the risk of turning this into something negative, I will leave it at that. I praise God for Eric and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
I think we people who are currently in kenya were more shocked it was not well told what caused his death. Is it sickness, mudered, passed on while asleep, accident or what was it????????????
only God who have a picture. Rest in eternal peace Eric.
Think of the positive side and negative and when u see it every thing is for a reason
