National Super Alliance (NASA) campaigns manager Musalia Mudavadi has called on Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission take tough action against President Uhuru Kenyatta for “breaching the Electoral Code of Conduct”.
According to Mudavadi, the head of state has bleached electoral conduct by allowing State officials like cabinet secretaries to take part in political campaigns, adding that action should be taken against him.
The NASA campaign supreme also accused the poll management body of suspiciously tolerating the ruling party, when it was State resources and public resources in adverts disguised as Government accountability.
“What has Water CS Eugene Wamalwa got to do with the issuance of title deeds? What is the IEBC waiting for? This is unacceptable,” said Mudavadi.
The Amani National Coalition leader further questioned the Jubilee regime move to compensate IDPs, just weeks before the elections, terming it as open bribery to woo voters.
“Guilt-laden pieces of silver as bribery for long-suffering and discriminated IDPs is too little, too late. Is it a compensation or resettlement? What about the host families who bore the brunt of staying with the integrated IDPs for 10 years?”Mudavadi posed.
