Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna has threatened to sue a Kenyan Media house over a story it published about his 22-year-old daughter Atieno Miguna who is based in Canada, saying that the claims in the story were all false.
The weekly publication carried a story on Friday that alleged that Atieno Miguna “has been posting revealing photos of herself in adult websites where she only invites ‘white gentlemen,’” a claim that the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Advisor Miguna Miguna denies and threatens to sue the newspaper over.
Miguna who is in the race to oust Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero from the helm of Nairobi leadership took to the Twitter on Friday, warning the media of dire consequences for their story
“The perpetrators of these highly defamatory statements shall be served with a Libel Notice and my intention to commence legal action. I’ll not comment further. The “story” is false, concocted and published only with the intention of injuring my reputation and candidature.” Miguna stated.
On Wednesday, the Governor hopeful had written a comment on the social platform warning the media against carrying the story.
“The (name of media house withheld) has just threatened to manufacture stories about one of my daughters. My children are a “No Go Zone!” This is evi,.” he wrote on his Twitter account.
